At 1st All Weather Roofing Co., we don’t just build roofs – we build relationships, communities, and legacies. Our story is rooted in hard work, family values, and a relentless drive to deliver exceptional service.

Founder Moriah Mathis comes from humble beginnings, having traveled across the United States as a child. Her family eventually settled in upstate New York, where she was raised with a deep sense of determination and a strong work ethic. Although she had no head start in the traditional sense, she quickly learned that through tenacity, the willingness to learn, and the ability to fail and grow, anything was possible.

Moriah, is also the proud sister of the late supermodel Ambrose Olson, whose incredible career touched hearts worldwide. Ambrose’s legacy of strength, kindness, and resilience continues to inspire Moriah in both her personal and professional life.

Her father, Raymond, a respected figure in the local construction industry, has been featured in magazines for his custom stonework and historical restorations. Many of the region’s iconic slate roofs bear his mark. Raised in this industry, Moriah was immersed in the trades from a young age, and this legacy of craftsmanship and pride sets 1st All Weather Roofing Co. apart from the competition.

For years, Moriah has been drawn to business, design, and building. Before venturing into roofing, she ran a successful local interior design business, specializing in custom window treatments, upholstery, slipcovers, up cycling and décor. This passion for design and improvement fueled her desire to elevate every project she touches. Whether it was enhancing a living room or, later, a home’s exterior, she’s always been motivated by the joy of creating, improving, and growing everything she is involved in.

It was in Fort Edward, NY, where Moriah met her husband and business partner, Brian, in 10th grade. Together, they’ve built not only a business but a family. They are the proud parents of four amazing children, living their version of the American Dream. Brian, also from humble roots, got his start early, attending BOCES for construction trades and working summers at a local roofing company. His background in roofing and construction helped shape the foundation of what would eventually become a roofing empire.

In 2020, as the world faced unprecedented challenges, They made a bold pivot, transitioning from full renovations and historical restorations to specializing in roofing and exterior solutions. The decision paid off, and they’ve since earned recognition as the region’s top roofing company, voted Best of the Region each year since their opening.

We actively sponsor local sports teams, events, and organizations such as Toys for Tots, Veterans Affairs, local police and fire departments, schools, and after-prom parties. We also believe in supporting those in need by donating work to families and individuals who are unable to afford critical repairs. In addition, we offer in-house financing options for the elderly and others who may struggle to cover the costs of maintaining the integrity of their homes. Giving back is a core part of who we are – it’s our way of ensuring the success and strength of the community we call home.
